About Us
The Torch MVMNT is a weekly, youth & young adult focused gathering. We’re not a church, we’re a movement of the church. We’re empowering youth to live out the light God has created within them and training other leaders how they can start the same in their community. We’re not asking the world to come to us, we’re getting our torch ready and lit to carry light out to the world.
How? A torch needs oil before it can be lit or burn or…shine! That’s where we come in. Together, we are preparing the way for a generation. Over the years, we have taken many people from all walks of life into the oil of God’s presence to experience Him in new ways for themselves. We’ve seen 13-year-old street kids & orphans become leaders in their community as they start to taste what their heart has unknowingly craved. We’ve seen bondage fall off and new vision and purpose become “lit.” Our non-traditional service is a time and place for those in the emerging generation to experience the hope, depth and empowerment that can only be found in knowing the Living God for themselves.
The bread & butter of our format is to take youth straight to the Source and see them empowered from that place. This involves a little teaching, worship, and mostly, experiencing God’s presence in stillness and prayer together. Then, we discuss and give them an opportunity to start to share about their time meeting with their Father. We ask questions. We dream. We start to believe. It is here we find that youth get new vision to see the purpose God has had within them the entire time. And together, we can start to help them live that out and see them shine in the world!
A chosen generation requires those who are willing to go before them to prepare the way, and to point to the Light that is within them.

If we can teach the next generation to fall for Jesus as their First Love, we will have taken them straight to the Source that goes beyond any of our leadership or programs. First Love is what keeps our lampstand burning and in place.

Waiting on God -
A torch needs a correct stand, a foundational posture in order to hold a flame and emanate light. We are that lampstand, but in order to hold up the torch we have to discover the right posture. For us, waiting on God is where that alignment begins. The Word tells us that those who wait on the Lord will renew their stren

The Word tells us that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength, and as we learn to get on our face before God, it actually strengthens us to stand upright to carry God’s flame and light into the world.

So as we learn to behold the living God is a new way, transformation is the result. And then, we’re not just going through the fire, rather, we become part of the

Oftentimes, darkness is the usher that shows light to its seat of destiny. During a time in the world where that darkness is less hidden and perhaps more brazen than ever before, this darkness may actually help show us that we are primed for a fresh, radical light to emerge on the scene. Perhaps that light is right under

During a time in the world where that darkness is less hidden and perhaps more brazen than ever before, this darkness may actually help show us that we are primed for a fresh, radical light to emerge on the scene. Perhaps that light is right under our noses. Perhaps, that light is the unique purpose that is hidden in the young generation all around us. We can let them be conformed to that darkness, or we can empower them to shine and push back that darkness! Our youth are part of the answer, and it is our job to point to and empower the light of God that is within them.
